In 2017, Epic Games released a video game which is known as Fortnite. It is available in three distinct modes, Save the World, Fortnite Battle Royale and Fortnite Creative. Fortnite Battle Royale became a resounding success, drawing in more than 125 million players in less than a year and earning hundreds of millions of dollars per month.
Fortnite Game Modes

- Fortnite: Save the World – Save the World mode released as a paid-for early access title for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on July 25, 2017. Gearbox Software published the retail versions of the game, while Epic’s launcher handles online distribution of the PC versions.
- Fortnite Creative – In Fortnite Creative players have complete freedom to create worlds and battle arenas. The first two-game modes released in 2017 as early access titles and Creative published on December 6, 2018.
- Fortnite Battle Royale – This is a free-to-play battle royale game where up to 100 players struggle to be the last person surviving. In these 100 some are real, and some are AI bots. Fornite Battle royale initially released in early access on September 26, 2017, for Microsoft Windows, macOS, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, obeyed by ports for iOS, Android, and the Nintendo Switch the following year.
